The following price list is given in US$ and doesn't included shipping charges.
Note that all profits, beyond the cost of parts, will be donated to web sites
that maintain the old software. If you have suggestions for worthy recipients
of this money, please contact me (see link on the bottom left).
Note that there is no charge for the software and tons of advice via e-mail.
These prices are meant to recover the cost of parts, and to leave some money
to be donated. Prices subject to change! Please recheck web site before ordering!

SVD Completely Assembled and Tested
This is the "turn-key" approach to using the SVD. Just buy one!
Included with the SVD are a few extra things that you will find handy
(please state on the order form if you want these NOT to be
included...reducing the price!).
- 9-pin RS232 patch cable
- 9-volt/120VAC adapter
- extra 34-pin connector to deal with the "keyed connector" problem
Note that I get the RS232 cables and
adapters in bulk (and at the local GoodWill store) for $2 and $5 respectively
(pretty good price).
Complete "kit"
This includes all of the parts that is in the "SVD Completely
Assembled and Tested" above, including the "extras" listed above.
Note that the case will not be machined! In other words, you get to
cut your own holes for the LEDs, switches, and connectors. The pretty
label for the top is included, however.
PCB and Major Parts
This option assumes that you want to build it yourself and want to use
your own case, resistors, capacitors, etc. The following parts will
be included:
- PCB
- Programmed PIC
- the two SRAM chips
- the MAX232 (or equiv)
- 75452 line driver
- 20MHz oscillator
- RS232 connector
- 34-pin connector
- 34-pin edge-card adapter
- extra 34-pin connector to deal with the "keyed connector" problem
PCB completely assembled and tested
This option is for those of you who want to use their own case, mounting,
power jack, and switches. The
PCB is fully populated and has been tested. A few extra parts are
included as well:
- connectors for the pin headers (power & reset)
- 34-pin edge-card adapter
- extra 34-pin connector to deal with the "keyed connector" problem

Ordering the SVD, or pieces of it, is not a sophisticated process by
any means. Please use the form here to send me e-mail as to what you
would like to purchase. Please provide your shipping address so that
I can e-mail you a total quote. After the e-mail, you can respond
with your method of payment, and I'll wait for payment before
shipping.
That last point is VERY important. Please do NOT Paypal before
contacting me. There are two basic reasons for this:
1. | Prices Change
| The prices quoted on this page are subject to change.
Again, I don't plan to make any money on this device,
and whatever money I do make will be donated to on-line
sites that archive the old software. HOWEVER, prices
for boards and parts change...particularly if I can't
find a good deal on components.
| 2. | I Build to Order
| Also, I don't build a whole bunch of the SVDs before
I get orders. I generally build a few at a time and
often have to build a few when an order comes in.
SO, I don't want you to pay for the SVD until I've
had a chance to build it. I really don't want you
to have to pay for a delay.

The order form (below) has changed a bit.
Spammers seem to think
that by submitting fake orders with spamming advertisements that it will increase
their web traffic. Really stupid. Though, as we know, spammers are generally low-class
idiots and they really don't think about logical things such as that.
Anyway, complaining aside, the form below now includes a little device that
forces to you to type a couple words, indicating that you're a human filling
in the form. It won't totally stop spammers from submitting fake orders, but it will
stop the automated spamming...and that's all I'm really after. :-)
